auDA hosted the inaugural Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy Australia (APIGA Australia) in 2024, based on the successful APIGA run annually in South Korea by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Korean Internet and Security Agency (KISA). This will support the cultivation of a pipeline of young Australians proficient in multi-stakeholder internet governance.

auDA collaborated with Pacific ccTLD managers to deliver a pilot forum. It took place in September 2024 to facilitate knowledge sharing, capacity building, collective solutions for shared challenges and with the aim to strengthen the Pacific multi-stakeholder community.

auDA supported the Papua New Guinea University of Technology, which manages the country code Top Level Domain .pg, to modernise its registry operations. auDA will look at opportunities to extend support to other regional ccTLDs to enable them to implement improvements.

auDA commissioned researchers at the University of New South Wales to analyse DNS abuse data to identify common vulnerabilities and support education for website owners.
